January Sales Haul.

Welcome back to my blog! Today’s post is going to be a Boxing day/January sales haul. In the past two weeks or so, I have taken full advantage of all the sales that have hit our high-streets, picking up lots of bargains and amazing pieces I thought I would share with you! So if you want to know what I bought, then please keep on reading.

I thought it would be best to split the haul up into sections according to the shops I bought the items from, so first… Topshop! I picked up a simple short-sleeved V-neck body suit for £10, it is a fine knit material. I love the feel and colour of this item (stone), and thought it is a good basic to have for layering! This piece is from the tall section, however I didn’t find it to be any longer than the other bodysuits I own! The nextfullsizerender-18 item I bought from Topshop was a slouchy long sleeved double layered T-shirt from the brand Escapology. I love the style of this item as it is quite oversized and relaxed, not to mention it is a really soft material! I got the top for £15 from £30; I am very happy with this purchase and can’t wait to style it! The final piece I bought was a large, and by large I mean the size of a blanket, grey knitted scarf. Once again the material is really soft, and is the perfect piece to keep me warm over the next few cold months! It was reduced from £28 to £10, a brill price for the quality!

The next shop I bought from in the sales was Zara. I don’t typically shop in Zara, but couldn’t resist having a little look, and I actually ended up buying a couple of items! Firstly, I bought a black strappy camisole velvet top, which has a muted floral pattern with hints of burgundy & grey, black lace around the neckline and up the side slits. I think this top will be perfect to layer over a black turtle neck, but also by itself as it has a gorgeous low V-neck back. I picked this item up for £12.99 down from £19.99. Finally I picked up a pair of shoes; they are black leather ballet flats, with studded straps that wrap around the ankle. I absolutely love this pair of shoes as I think they would add so much to a simple outfit, but they are also are comfy… definitely a big bonus! Again, this item was only £12.99. I might have to pop into Zara more often after these finds!fullsizerender-17

I also picked up a few sale items from River Island. Usually, I stay away from River Island when it comes to sales;  I find them rather hectic and disorganised. However, I did find another pair of shoes and a two tops from this years trip, which I am very pleased with! First, I picked up another velvet camisole top to layer. This one is blush pink in colour, and also has the same black lace detailing as the one from Zara. I bought this top for £10 down from £22, and once again I cannot wait to wear it! The next item is a black lace top with frill detailing. Although this piece is not normally something I would go for, I thought it was too pretty to pass up, especially since it was only £12. I think this delicate item could be styled in so many ways, and might even include it in an outfit post in the future! Finally, I bought another pair of black shoes ( you can never have to many, right?). These ones are slightly pointed and have two studded buckles across the front of the shoe. They are a sturdy faux leather material, so will certainly need breaking in a little. I love the look of these, taking definite inspo from Fearne Cotton’s style! They will go with lots of items I  already have in my wardrobe, and for £25 I am very happy I bought them… not that it took much persuasion. fullsizerender-16

On my shopping trip I also visited Primark; I bought quite a few items… but the majority of them were not in the sale ( I couldn’t resist!). I did however pick up a heather grey hoody dress that was reduced to £5! I bought it in a size 12 so it is slightly oversized rather than fitted, and it comes to the thigh/ just above the knee which is the perfect length. The material is really soft, and almost furry, so it will definitely keep me warm for the rest of winter. I can’t wait to style this versatile piece; I think it could be dressed down with trainers and a denim jacket, or dressed up with some knee high boots. It is simple, but I am certainly glad I picked it up!fullsizerender-14

The last place I shopped in the sales was Office. For a while now I have been after some white trainers to add to my collection, so I thought I might as well have a gander in the sale to see if  I could find any! I actually ended up ordering some online as they didn’t have them in stock in the store;  they are the exclusive Adidas Superstar 80’s in white, with a silver metal toe, and an off white sole. They are amazing! Not to everyone’s taste but I thought they were a great twist to the classic Superstar trainer, and will definitely add something to a simple outfit. I got them in a size 6 for £52.00 from £84.99. I think they were a great purchase that I am really looking forward to wearing soon! fullsizerender-15

That concludes my sale haul post. I am very happy with the items I managed to pick up; I think it was a rather successful shopping trip. I hope you enjoyed this post, and keep a look out for my next one!

Thanks for reading,
