RED: THE COLOUR OF THE SEASON.

Fashion, FCP

Welcome back to my blog! Today’s post will be short, sweet, and all about the colour of the season…Red! Everyone knows red screams Christmas and is always a popular colour at this time of year, but now more than ever the colour has been absolutely everywhere! Not only is it the colour of the Christmas season, but its the colour of the A/W ’17 fashion season too! It seems like every high-street window/shop display I have seen over the past month or so features the colour red, specifically bright red. I am someone who personally loves more monotone colours when it comes to clothing, however I have actually been loving red as the trend colour for the season! Although I wouldn’t wear, for example, a full red suit, I think bold red accessories such as a bag or pair of red boots, really help to spice up a typically plain outfit; they add a pop of colour that makes you stand out from the crowd. Below I have included some images of the colour red in fashion at the minute, and believe me, I could have found thousands of examples! Let me know in the comments if you’re loving the colour too!

NEW IN: Jewellery.

Fashion

Welcome back to my blog! For today’s post I thought I would do something a little different; instead of one big collective haul, I am going to upload several smaller ‘new in’ hauls of items I have bought recently, starting with jewellery. So, if you want to find out what pieces of jewellery I have picked up in the last few weeks then please keep on reading!

I have been loving layering my jewellery (e.g. necklaces) at the minute, so I was on the hunt for sets of simple/ dainty gold or silver metal necklaces… and Primark certainly didn’t disappoint! The first gold set I picked up contained four chokers, each has a small pendant/detail in the centre, such as a moon or coin. My favourite one has to be the laser cut out choker ( far right); I love the almost Moroccan feel/vibe it has. It is good set to mix and match with, especially for only £2/3 (I can’t remember the exact price but all the sets were £3 or under). Another piece I picked up from Primark was a 3 in 1 necklace that has one gold, one silver and one rose gold slinky chain that are joined together at the back. It was only £3 but feels quite heavy/ good quality! A bonus factor of this necklace is that I can match it to any other colour of metal, such as my new silver watch that I picked up from Primark too for £8! Love, love, love. Moreover, to layer on my wrist I bought a set of 8 chain bracelets (that were also different coloured metals) for £2, from Primark, if you didn’t already guess! I love all the details of each individual bracelet; they look good put together or worn separately… very versatile! Also, some of the bracelets match other sets of necklaces I have purchased in this ‘new in’ haul, such as the Moroccan inspired ones, so great to wear them together with the other items! fullsizerender-52

More recently ( today in fact) I purchased two more sets from Primark. The first is another set of chokers, but this time they are a mixture of materials, including black faux suede, gold metal, with details including diamantes and pearls. I can’t quite believe how affordable this was to say you get 6 necklaces (£3)! I am in love with each one and cannot wait to wear them! I would definitely say to check these out in your local Primark… they might be my favourite purchase of the haul! Today I also picked up a more simplistic set which incorporates gold metal and also small pearls. The necklaces are each slightly different in length, and are joined together at the back, but will still look good layered with other ones I have bought! My favourite has to be the longest from the set; I have been on the hunt for one like this for a while to wear with low cut tops, so I was very happy to find out in Primark! And for £2 I couldn’t not pick them up! fullsizerender-51

The next piece in my ‘new in’ haul is a simple gold necklace, again perfect for layering. It sits at the perfect length ( top of the chest) to pair with choker necklaces like the ones above. It has two gold circles in the centre that are intertwined with one another on a thin gold chain. I love the simplistic style of this particular piece! It was £2 from, you guessed it, Primark! I also picked up a set of chain mix metal bracelets from Primark in their jewellery sale. Although they are adjustable, they still are a little loose ( I guess I have small wrists!), but I do still like the look of a few of them layered together with, for example, a watch. I think it adds such detail to an outfit, and for £1.50 they were definitely worth picking up! They are a mix of silver, gold and rose gold metals and each one is slightly different ( as pictured). The last item in the haul is a pre-layered gold necklace; each of the three thin chains are different lengths. So great to ‘chuck on and go’ without having to think about what other pieces they would go with! My ‘go-to’ necklace when I am in a rush for sure! There is a mix of a diamante pendant, a leaf pendant and a laser cut out diamond pendant, all of which look great together! Again, this set from Primark was only £3, I think it would be a good one to start with if you’re trying out the layering trend!

It’s safe to say I am now all set in relation to the jewellery front! I can’t recommend Primark enough for affordable sets to layer with; they have so many to choose from…definitely have a browse in your local store! I can’t wait to play around with my new collection to find different combinations to wear! I hope you took some jewellery themed inspo from this post, and try out layering for yourself! A shoutout to ThePersianBabe and SophiaandCinzia on YouTube for the inspiration for my new jewellery related obsession, check them out! Keep an eye out for my next ‘new in’ instalment coming soon.

NYE- Outfit and Makeup.

Fashion, Makeup

Welcome back to my blog! I hope everyone has been enjoying their Christmas holiday, I don’t want it to end! For my post today I thought I would share with you my outfit for tonight (NYE), as well as the makeup I plan on wearing with it! So, whether you are staying in with family or painting the town red, I hope everyone has a great time celebrating, and here’s to a magical 2017! Let’s get onto the post…fullsizerender-7

Outfit– To celebrate NYE I wanted to wear something that was festive, but also something that would be fab for partying! So, with that in mind I chose my long-sleeved, burgundy velvet mini dress from Missguided. It has ruched detailing all the way down the side, and is also slightly off the shoulder, which creates a very flattering neckline(see picture). I thought the style, along with the deep red colour of the dress, made the outfit sexy and sophisticated… perfect for NYE! To accompany the dress, I chose a pair of clear Perspex heels (from Ego), as I didn’t want to take attention away from the stand out piece, and also the chunky heel means that I can party all night into 2017! As for accessories, again to keep it simple,  I picked out my diamante choker from Primark. I think the necklace definitely adds glam to the outfit. Overall I am happy with my NYE look and I can’t wait to wear it out tonight!

Makeup– For my makeup I decided upon a full glam look; I knew I wanted to include sparkles and glitter… If you can’t on New Years, when can you?! I created a silver and burgundy half cut crease using some of my new products (check out my last post for more info!); it ended up matching the colour of my dress perfectly! Details on the products I used will be below as always. I hope you like the makeup look I created and that it might inspire you!

December Primark Haul.

Fashion

The decision for my first post here on my blog was an easy one for me… a haul! What better way for you to get a taste for my fashion sense and the sort of items I love to wear. Not only that, but I personally love hauls; I get so much inspiration from what other people are buying, and also think it’s a great way to discover what’s in the shops! So, if you want to get to know me and my style a little better, then keep on reading!

For me, Primark has always been hit or miss… this time it was definitely a hit. I managed to find so many amazing pieces, from chokers to culottes, that are perfect for this season. I can’t wait to style/wear them all! As a little guide for the haul, and for future reference (as I always find it handy) I am a UK size 10 in clothing, and a UK size 6 in shoes. So with that said, let’s get onto the good stuff, the haul.

Accessories:

The first accessory I picked up was a faux leather, small, black, structured side bag (see image), with chain detailing on the strap. The selling point for me was the hot pink and cobalt blue flower embroidery, which is a massive trend that I am obsessed with rightfullsizerender-1 now, not to mention that it was only £5.00! It’s the perfect bag for meals/evenings out where you only need the essentials; money, a phone and a lipstick! I also picked up a small purse to fit inside of my clutch bags for nights out. They had lots of different designs and patterns, but I settled on a metallic blue and black one, with a tassel detail on the zip which was £2.00. An essential item for the party season!

The next accessory I bought was a set of false nails which were only £1.50. I have so many sets of Primark nails, but the white marble effect on these ones in particular is amazing, I definitely couldn’t pass them up.  The final accessory I purchased was a choker; it is made up from two rows of silver diamantes. I am so in love with this item! I think it would add so much to a simple outfit, and certainly looks more glam/expensive than the £2.50 I bought for it!

Clothing:

I thought I would start off the clothing section of this haul post with the two hosiefullsizerender-2ry items I picked up. First, a pair of black fishnet ankle socks (£1.00) that I have been hunting for for a while now. They are simple, yet I think they can really add an edge to an outfit. I can’t wait to style them for an upcoming blog post! The next item is a bralette; I would never expect to find it in Primark! It’s a simple black mesh triangle bralette, with a gorgeous embroidered flower pattern sewn over the top ( told you I was obsessed with this trend). They again had lots to choose from, but for me the colours of the embroidery on this one sold me. Not to mention it was only £8. The perfect bra that combines the exposed underwear trend with the embroidery one… I’m in love!

Now moving onto clothing. Firstly, focusing on the top half items, I picked up a basic blush coloured roll neck jumper. It’s such a beautiful colour and soft fabric, perfect for the colder winter months. The next item is one again I couldn’t believe I found, and definitely not in the sale for £5! It’s this blush coloured (sensing a theme?) pyjama style, long sleeved, satin material shirt, which looks so much more expensive than what I paid for it.  It’s bang on trend for this season and is perfect for a sophisticated night time look. The final upper body item is a dark camel coloured knitted jumper, with a high neck. What attracted me to this item, besides the wintery colour, was the ribbed pattern on the front. It adds some detail to a basic jumper and is definitely a great staple to have this winter (£12.00).fullsizerender-3.

The final few items I bought are for the bottom half. Firstly, I bought a pair of black cigarette trousers, with silver accents on the pockets and draw string. For a while I have been looking for a smart alternative for jeans to wear for evenings out, and I think I have found them! They fit perfectly, ending just above the ankle and tapering in towards the bottom half of the leg,  for £13 I am very happy this purchase! The next item is a pair of wine coloured satin material culottes, that have splits up the front of both legs. I thought these trousers would make a great addition to my wardrobe as they can be dressed up for nights out, but also dressed down for more of a casual look, and for £10.00 you can’t go wrong! The last piece I bought definitely has to be my favourite. It is an olive green coloured satin pleated midi skirt (as you might be able to tell I have been loving satin this winter). I couldn’t believe that I found this item in Primark! It looks so luxurious and expensive, not to mention that it is extremely flattering, cutting off at just the right point on the legs. All in all the perfect piece for Christmas parties, a real statement item that only costs £13.00, an absolute bargain for this beautiful piece. fullsizerender-5

That completes my December Primark haul and my first blog post. I hope you enjoyed reading about my latest buys for this season, and have gotten to know a little more about my style. Look out for my next blog post!
