Welcome back.

FCP

Welcome back to my blog… long time no see! Over the past few months I have been MIA from ‘FaceandFashion’ for a number of reasons; but mainly due to the lack of inspiration/personal motivation I had been feeling towards it/blogging. This, is something that I never wanted to happen. The first half of my blogging year I truly loved writing, posting, taking pictures, the whole concept of being a blogger and was dedicated to it. However, as the months passed I couldn’t shake the feeling that my blog was too ‘amateur’ for my liking, and with little knowledge/resources to help change this, I began to feel deflated before even really taking off. So, with this negative mind set, along with some personal set backs, my blog came to a dwindling halt. Which again, I find rather saddening / disappointing.

However… I am back! And here’s why…

Nearly two weeks ago now (it feels like 2 years ago!) I moved to university to study Fashion Communication and Promotion (it’s a mouthful I know).  I am planning on posting another blog post dedicated solely to explain what the course actually is, why I chose it etc. but for now I wanted to explain why by doing the course, it means I have started up ‘FaceandFashion’ again.

On the course, right from day one, it is strongly suggested that we, as FCP students, create a blog that we can use throughout the three years of study. Constantly updating it with each seminar we have, project we do, trip we go on, and finally, by the end of the course, our blog should be able to communicate to not only the lecturers, but potential employers, who we are as a brand. That is why I have decided to re-launch my blog now as I feel that with the right guidance, support and resources, not to mention the constant inspiration, I feel like my blog will finally be in the place I want it to be… and I couldn’t be more excited about that! As you may or may not have noticed, my blog has already changed slightly (title/colour scheme), and will probably continue to be updated throughout my time on the FCP course. However, I have made the decision to keep all my old posts prior to this one; not only will they help to show growth as I move through the course, but also I am still very proud of them!

With all that said, I shall be back soon, and shall also be uploading blog posts on a regular basis (I promise!) . These may include posts on my course,  but I will also still blog about fashion and makeup related content, as that is what I am most passionate about, and also, where it all began!. I am very excited about the future of this blog… ‘FaceandFashion’ is well and truly back!

Thank you for reading,

Everyday makeup.

Makeup

Welcome back to my blog! I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Today, I thought I would share with you my ‘go-to’ makeup look that I opt for on a daily basis. It is simple and quick to achieve, which is great for days where I am running late, but still want to look put together (basically everyday!). All product details will be listed below along with some pictures of this natural and glowing look! So, if you want to find out more, then please keep on reading!

IMG_6485

Face: For the face I wanted to keep it as simple as possible, whilst still having some coverage, colour and of course, a glow.

  • LA Girl Pro Conceal – shade Green.
  • Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer – shade 1.
  • Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder – shade Transparent.
  • Kat Von D Shade and Light Palette – shades Subconscious and Shadowplay.
  • Bourjois Paris Bronzing Powder – shade 51.
  • Benefit Rockateur Blusher.
  • Mac Extra Dimension Skin Finish – shade Double Gleam.

Eyes: For the eyes I opted for a shimmery but natural look that would match perfectly with the dewiness of the skin, with minimal use of shadows in order to save time. I also attempted to make the brows look more natural rather than structured. I did this by using feathery strokes rather than sharp/ harsh ones, as well as making them thicker & lighter.  I love the way they turned out!

  • Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade – shade Ash Brown.
  • Freedom Pro Conceal & Correct Palette – lightest shade for under the brows.
  • Mac Paint Pot – shade Soft Ochre.
  • Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette – shade Bitter Start and Substitute for Love.
  • Loreal Paris individual eyeshadow – shade Wild Gold.
  • Benefit Roller Lash Mascara.
  • Maybelline Brow Drama – shade Medium Brown.
  • Mac Extra Dimension Skin Finish – Double Gleam ( for the inner eye corners).

Lips: For ease I chose to apply some of my Rosy Lips Vaseline; it provides a subtle hint of colour, whilst also moisturising the lips! Not to mention it can be easily reapplied throughout the day.

To finish, as always, I used a few sprays of my Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, to make sure that my makeup stays on throughout the whole day!

So, that completes my natural everyday makeup look! I hope you enjoyed this beauty themed post! More to come soon.

FAVOURITE PRODUCT OF THE MONTH-FEBRUARY EDITION.

Makeup

Welcome back to my blog! I hope everyone has been doing well! Long time no post… recently I have been feeling a little uninspired and unmotivated, a feeling I hope some of you might be able to relate to. Nonetheless, in a bid to shake this unwanted feeling off, I am back today with a very belated ‘favourite product’ post for the month of February. So, if you would like to find out what item of makeup I have chosen this time, then please keep on reading!

Throughout the month of February there was one product in particular that I constantly reached for, and so it only made sense to choose it… my Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in the shade ‘Leo’. Whether it was in the day or at night, this liquid lip was my go to.

I love the colour; I would describe it as… well the word ‘rust’ springs to mind, although that doesn’t make it sound very appealing! The product description on the brand’s website describes it as a ‘ true matte honey brown’, in case my efforts didn’t do the colour justice 😉 But I have also left some pictures of the product at the end of post as always, so you can see what the colour looks like both on the lips and a swatch on the hand for comparison. The colour matches so many eye looks, my personal favourite to wear it with is a dark red/ orange eye, which I use my Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette to achieve, as I think the colours compliment each other very well. Moreover,  believe it is a great ‘in-between’ shade that everyone can wear; it is still in the nude colour spectrum, so is wearable for day-to-day ( like I wore in the picture, with minimal eye makeup), but because of the darkness of the shade, it can be worn with a more dramatic look, perfect for nights out, and also it isn’t too dark for those who might not be confident enough to rock a statement lip!

The product itself, like all others in the range, lasts a long time, which is why I feel I can wear it out to dinner or drinks and not worry about it smudging or coming off… you can’t say that about many dark lipstick shades! The ‘matteness’ of the product is definitely another bonus, as well as the fact that it dries down from wet to matte very quickly, good for applying makeup in a hurry or on the go!

Overall, I just love ( guessed I love it by now, huh?) the versatility of this liquid lip, and I really am surprised that this shade doesn’t get more recognition! I know I am going to continue wearing throughout the next months; definitely a product that can worn all year round no matter the season! IMG_6457

I hope you enjoyed this short post, and I am looking forward to sharing my March edition with you soon.

Morphe 35O Makeup Tutorial.

Makeup

Welcome back to my blog! I hope everyone is doing well! In the past two weeks, as you may have noticed, I have been MIA from my blog; I have been very busy going here, there & everywhere with University Interviews! But, I am back today with a makeup tutorial using my Morphe 35O palette that I featured on my blog just before Christmas! I have included step-by-step instructions as well as pictures, which I hope help you if you want to recreate the look below. So, if you would like to learn how I created the eye look that I have been loving lately, then please keep on reading! fullsizerender-36

  1. The first step I take when creating any eye look is to prime the eye using Mac’s Paint Pot in the shade Soft Ochre; this cancels out any discolouration, giving the lid one solid & neutral colour. I then set the lid using the lightest colour of the Morphe palette, which is going to make blending the shadows out in the next step a lot easier.
  2. Next, I take a fluffy blending brush to start applying the transitional shades into the crease. For this, I use the two warm toned light brown shades highlighted below, and keep blending and building up the colour until I am happy with how it looks. fullsizerender-37
  3. I then begin to deepen the crease using the dark orange shade in the palette; this helps to ensure that the shadows all blend seamlessly together, whilst also intensifying the crease’s colour ready for the next step. After this, I then add the darker shades to the eyelid. For this, I mix the two red/orange shades (my favourite colours from this Morphe palette!), and pack them onto the outer corner of the eyelid. I again, keep blending and swapping brushes until I feel the colours transition into each other, whilst trying to keep the centre of the lid as neutral as possible.fullsizerender-38
  4. After this, I take the gold shimmery shadow on a flat brush and apply it to the centre of the lid in the space that has been left shadow free. I repeat this until there is a good coverage of shimmer, making sure it blends into the red/orange colours on the outer corner (it’s all about the blending!). On the inner half of the lid I then use my gold glitter liquid liner, which is actually from Pound Land! This liner is jam packed with flecks of gold glitter, and has surprisingly good coverage (although the pictures aren’t doing it justice 😦 I do recommend trying it out!). I have been loving doing this step recently as I think it adds a lot to the look, and that the gold compliments the warm tones very well. fullsizerender-39
  5. I then do my face makeup, including foundation, contour and highlight; which I also apply (generously) to the inner corner of my eye and underneath the brow bone. For this particular look I chose the Revolution Makeup highlight in the shade ‘Golden Lights’ as I think the gold tones matched the eye look perfectly! (for more information on this highlight then check out my last blog post). I then use a mixture of all the orange/red shades to apply underneath the eye to balance out the lid shadows. This is a step I definitely never miss and think it makes a real difference!
  6. To finish the eye look off, I take my black liquid liner (which works best over glitter) and create a wing on the top lash line. Finally, I apply a coat of my favourite mascara to both the top and bottom lashes, making sure to curl them first before I do so! This last step completes my Morphe 35O tutorial!

I hope you enjoyed this makeup themed post, be sure to let me know if you try it out for yourself! I have lots of new posts planned for the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled! P.S the lipstick I am wearing is Jeffree Star’s Velour Liquid Lipstick in the shade ‘Celebrity Skin’.

Favourite product of the month-January edition.

Makeup

Welcome back to my blog! I hope everyone is well and having a good week! I can’t believe we are in February already… where did January go!? For today’s post I thought I would share with you my favourite beauty product for the month of January. I plan on starting to make this post a monthly tradition, with a new favourite each time! So, to find out what item of makeup I chose for my ‘Product of the month- January edition’, then please keep reading!

Deciding my favourite product for this month was definitely an easy choice for me … the Makeup Revolution highlighter in the shade ‘Golden Lights’! I am sure that you may have heard the hype about this product by now, as everyone in the beauty community, including Jeffree Star, seems to be buzzing over it! The product is a white highlighter with a gold iridescent shine/ gold reflects that look amazing when they hit the light. Not to mention that it is extremely pigmented, which provides a blinding glow when applied to the high points of the face, but it can also be made to look more natural, or indeed, more intense by building up the product (which is what I normally do). Also, the texture of the product is another bonus, as the gold glitter within the product isn’t too chunky, but it is quite powdering, which I don’t particularly mind as I love the way it looks on the skin, which is the important bit!

Additionally, I think the highlighter would look good on any skin tone due to the high pigmentation and colour/ iridescent nature of the product; I have pretty fair skin, but the gold shine helps to warm my complexion up, whilst the white base brightens my face an makes my highpoints really stand out. I usually apply the product to my cupids bow, the end of my nose, my inner eye corners, underneath my brow bones, and of course, above my cheekbones! This creates a full face glow that finishes off any makeup look every time! In comparison to highlighters I have used in the past, including ones from luxury brands, I have to say this one beats them all. There isn’t much more you could ask for in a highlighter! But, the best bit is yet to come… it only costs £3! Incredible! I definitely think that I need to purchase another one (from Superdrug) as a back up for when my runs out! Although I might not need one for a while as the pan size/ amount of product you get is impressive for the price (10g).

To wrap up my favourite product post for this month, I have to say I can’t recommend the Revolution highlighter enough; I use it everyday and have no plans to stop! Below are some images of the product, both with and without flash, but I would suggest going to your local Superdrug to test it out for yourself! I have also used the highlight in some of my previous posts ( ‘Makeup by me’ and ‘NYE outfit and makeup’), so if you want to see how it looks on the skin/ how it photographs then be sure to check those out!

Eyebrow Tutorial.

Makeup

Welcome back to my blog! It’s Friday, woo! For today’s post I thought I would share with you a step-by-step tutorial on how I do my eyebrows! I often get compliments on my brows(which are always the best type of compliment!), and think I have finally figured out how to create the perfect gradient brow! So, if you want to find out how I do my eyebrows, then please keep on reading. fullsizerender-35

1. The first step I take when doing my brows, is combing them through with the spoolie end of my eyebrow brush (Makeup Geek). I comb the front of my brows up, and the outer half sideways to create the shape I desire before I apply product. This only takes a few seconds, but is a step I definitely wouldn’t miss!

2. Next, I take my Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in the shade ‘Ash Brown’ and my Makeup Geek brow brush, and begin to fill in my eyebrows. I like to start with the arch/ outer half of my eyebrow as this is where most of the product will be. I then use little brush strokes to apply the pomade so the brow will look as natural as possible ( like real brow hairs). To create the tail of the brow I use more pressure so it is opaque and defined. I usually like my brows to be quite thick, so I draw on a new brow arch that is darker than my natural eyebrows, as you can see in the image below. fullsizerender-32

3. After this, I lightly draw a line underneath the front of my brow which will allow me to create the gradient effect I desire. I then, without applying anymore product, gently fill in the front section of my eyebrow, making sure to get lighter as I reach the front. I also like to check at this point that I am happy with the overall shape and colour of my brow; if not, I go in with my of the dipbrow until I am!

fullsizerender-33

4. When I have created the brow I want, I then like to define it and clean it up using concealer (Freedom Concealer palette in shade’Light’). I use the lightest shade on a Morphe ‘M75’, which is a flat ended brush, and apply it underneath the brow. This gets rid of any mistakes, and really does make a big difference! I blend the concealer using my Real Techniques ‘Deluxe Crease Brush’ which defuses the product and blends it nicely into my Mac Paint Pot in the shade ‘Soft Ochre’, that I use to prime my eyes.

fullsizerender-31

5. The final step I take when doing my eyebrows is setting them in place. I use the Maybelline Brow Drama mascara in the shade ‘Medium Brown’; it ensures that all of the hairs stay in place throughout the day so I don’t have to worry bout them smudging! And that completes my eyebrow tutorial!fullsizerender-34

I hope you enjoyed this post, and let me know if you would like more of these makeup tutorials! I will be back with another post soon.

Makeup Haul.

Makeup

Welcome back to my blog… and another haul post! This time I thought I would share with you what I recently bought from the my favourite makeup site, BeautyBay.com. So, if you want to know what I spent my money on this time, then please keep on reading!

For this online order, I only bought two pieces of makeup ( the rest being brushes etc.); Velour Liquid Lipsticks from the brand Jeffree Star Cosmetics, that were £16.00 each. The first shade I picked was ‘Unicorn Blood’ which is one of his best selling shades, soI am very happy I managed to get my hands on it! It is a classic dark red colour, with his usual pink packaging… definitely a good addition to my growing collection! The next shade I bought was ‘Sagittarius’ which is a cool toned purple from his 2016 Christmas collection. I love this colour for my skin and think it will compliment lots of different makeup looks, I also thought the red packaging was a great touch! I can’t wait to buy more! ( I have been eyeing up his new metallic liquid lipsticks). fullsizerender-23

The next items I ordered were two makeup brushes from the brand Morphe Brushes. The first is a highlighter brush that I have seen a lot of YouTubers use and love; the M501. It is slightly pointed, so perfect to achieve an intense glow! Plus it only cost £6.95, which I think is great value for a makeup brush. The next brush I purchased was the M527, it was slightly more expensive at £14.00, but I have to say it feels so soft and amazing quality! Again, I have seen lots of beauty gurus use this brush for contouring the face, so I can’t wait to give it a try for myself. fullsizerender-22

I also ordered myself a pair of false lashes from Ardell in the style ‘Natural Lashes Demi Wispies’. They look fluttery but still quite natural as the lashes get longer towards the end… I think they will finish off an everyday I look very well! Although I don’t normally wear false lashes, I have heard great things about this brand so for £4.95 I thought I would give them a go!fullsizerender-21

The last purchase I made from Beauty Bay was the Makeup Geek Travel Vault. It has the ‘Makeup Geek’ logo engraved on the metal lid, and is magnetic on the pan inside; I definitely loved the packaging! It will be perfect to keep my collection of their eyeshadow pans in and I look forward to filling it with more! The vault was £14.00, which is quite pricey for a empty palette I know, but it does feel expensive and it was a good investment piece for me!fullsizerender-24

I hope you liked my purchases, and no doubt their will be another makeup haul in the near future… I know, I’m addicted! But I am sure most of you share my passion for makeup and beauty, and might even be as obsessed as me! Let me know! I have lots of ideas for blog posts coming up so keep a look out!

Makeup by me.

Makeup

Welcome back to my blog! Today I thought I would share with you the makeup look I created on my twin. My sister never usually wears makeup (the complete opposite of me!) so I decided to go for a full glam look that would contrast completely with what she normally looks like. I loved the end result and I was very happy that she let me ‘Chloefy’ her! If you want to see how it turned out then please keep on reading!

The main eyeshadow palette I used was my Morphe 350-35 as I really wanted to use the warm brow/orange shades that are perfect for this time of year! And although I was worried about ruining all the hard work I put into blending the shadows by applying eyeliner, my Kat Von D Tattoo Liner made it super easy to create a precise bold wing! I am also pretty impressed with how it went to stay I how hard liquid liner can be to do on other people. For eyebrows, I used a taupe shade from my Naked Basics palette to match my sisters light/blonde eyebrows, and because the shade was pigmented enough to allow me to create a good shape. Overall I love how the eyes turned out but it was definitely a big difference for my sister to take in! I will 100% be recreating this eye look out on myself in the near future. IMG_5597.JPG

As for the face, I knew I wanted an intense glow to match the eyes, so I opted for my Revolution highlighter in the shade ‘Golden Lights’. It is an amazing iridescent white highlight with gold reflects… I’m in love with it! Finally, I wanted the lip colour to pull everything together; at first I went for a Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lip in the shade ‘Celebrity Skin’, but because my sister has very fair skin I thought the shade looked too dark and didn’t compliment the rest of the face. In the end I picked the metallic liquid lipstick that she bought me for Christmas by LA Splash in the shade ‘Aphrodite’. I think the copper/gold colour of the lips matched perfectly with the warm eyes and the golden shimmer of the highlight, to create a wearable yet full glam look.

IMG_5596.JPG

I hope you enjoyed this post! If you want more details on all the products I used on my sister then check out my ‘NYE Makeup and Outfit’ post as I used the same for my makeup. I’d like to say a big thank you to my twin for letting me do her makeup( after much begging and bribing), I think she looks stunning both with the makeup and without! Keep your eyes peeled for my next blog post that will be coming soon!

Best Products of 2016.

Makeup

Welcome back to my blog, and my first post of 2017! Today I thought I would properly round off the year with my ‘Best Products of 2016’. I loved seeing everyone’s version of this tag in the blogging community and on YouTube, and I couldn’t resist sharing my own list! I tried to include at least one of my loved products from each part of the face, i.e. eyes, mouth etc… It was definitely hard to pick!  I hope you like this post, and that it might give you some ideas of new makeup to try out! Let’s get onto the tag…

  1. Primer:

One Step Correct– Stila: The mixture of pink, green and white colours that are swirled together in this primer really help to colour correct the face before applying foundation. I especially like the green colour as it cancels out the red pigmentation in my skin. Also, the primer has a sticky consistency that helps the makeup cling to the skin and stay all day! img_5567

The Porefessional– Benefit: This is another primer I loved throughout 2016! I mainly focus the product on my T-zone area; it mattifies the face whilst also filling in pores to ensure the skin is smooth before applying foundation. It also feels great on the face and definitely does what it says on the tin! I am on my third mini of this primer, and I am still loving it just as much!img_5568-1

2. Eyes:

Roller Lash Mascara– Benefit: This product has been a constant ‘go to’ when doing my everyday makeup in 2016. It helps to increase the length of the lashes, whilst also giving them a natural curl. This mascara is definitely buildable if a more intense look is desired! This is a product that I will still be using in the upcoming year.fullsizerender-9

Cocoa Blend Palette– Zoevea: This palette has to be one of my all time favourites. I absolutely love the warm colours that are perfect for creating quick and simple looks, as well as the matte white/cream shade, which I use everyday to set my eyeshadow base. It is a product I constantly reach for, and the only eyeshadow palette where I have hit pan! I have recommended this palette to friends as it I affordable, yet still pigmented and blendable! LOVE LOVE LOVE.img_5571

Modern Renaissance Palette– Anastasia Beverly Hills:  One of my favourite high-end makeup products of 2016 has to be this palette. I was lucky enough to receive it as a birthday present from my brother in the summer, and since then have loved creating makeup looks with it. The colours are beautiful, the pigment is amazing, and the texture of the shadows is so rich/creamy that they blend seamlessly! My favourite colours have to be the pinks; they’re gorgeous… the palette is definitely worthy of the hype it gets!img_5570

3. Eyebrows:

Dipbrow Pomade– Anastasia Beverly Hills: I purchased this product early 2016, and haven’t looked back since! I can’t believe that there was ever a time that I didn’t use this product for my brows. Before the pomade, I had struggled matching the colour of my eyebrows with any product, but the ‘Ash Brown’ shade by ABH is the perfect fit. The product is highly pigmented, which took a bit of getting used to at first, but after practice I can safely say it is the best eyebrow product I have ever used, especially to create the popular ‘gradient’ effect. Also, the fact that it’s pigmented means a little product goes a long way; I am only on my second pot! Not to mention that it is water proof so lasts all day. I get no end of compliments on my brows when I am wearing this product, 10/10 would recommend if you are looking for a new piece of makeup for your brows.img_5553

4. Face:

Soft and Gentle Highlight– Mac: This popular highlighter has been my favourite to use during 2016. It gives a lovely golden glow with a shimmer effect that goes with any makeup look. Also, I find that a natural gleam is achieved with one layer of this highlight, but as you build it up, it creates a more intense look. Despite the fact that my highlighter collection has now grown, I definitely will still be using this product!img_5564

Rockateur Blusher– Benefit: My most used blusher of 2016 has to be my Rockateur blusher. It is a beautiful deep rose gold colour, with cream and gold fleck that compliments any warm toned eye/lip looks perfectly. I shall definitely been repurchasing when mine runs out!fullsizerender-11

Lasting Perfection Concealer– Collection 2000: This product has been on my most used list for a long time now! Over the year I have repurchased this concealer (in the shade fair) numerous times; it is affordable yet high coverage, and certainly feels like a more expensive product! The colour is great for highlighting high points on the face, not to mention that it blends easily with my beauty blender. I think it is a product that I will continue to buy for the foreseeable future!img_5563

5. Lips:

Dolce K Liquid Lipstick– Kylie Cosmetics: Liquid lipsticks have been a massive makeup trend during 2016, with most brands creating their own versions. My best friends (who know I love makeup) generously gave me a Kylie Jenner Lip Kit for my birthday in the shade ‘Dolce K’, which is a cool toned brown colour. The texture of the product is very smooth,  and I find that it applies very easily. The colour is perfect for creating a sultry look, but also it can be warmed up for day time makeup by using a different lip liner ( e.g. ‘Stone’ by Mac). The lip liner that comes with the kit glides on the lips and has a creamy consistency, unfortunately mine has broken, but I still love it! Additionally, I really like the sweet almost marshmallow smell, as it isn’t to overpowering.  Although this product has gotten mixed reviews, I personally give it a big thumbs up!fullsizerender-12

Velvet Teddy Lipstick– Mac: At the start of 2016 my ‘go to’ lipstick was definitely ‘Velvet Teddy’. It is the perfect matte nude shade that goes with so many different looks. The consistency isn’t drying either with is definitely a bonus! One of my favourite lipsticks, as I am sure it is for many of you! fullsizerender-10

Soft Matte Lip Cream– NYX: This lip cream in the shade ‘London’ was the only thing I wore on my lips for months during mid 2016! It provides a natural colour to the lips, that is very wearable for more day-to-day looks. The texture, as the name suggests, is creamy and the colour does last on the lips for a pretty long amount of time to say it is an affordable drugstore brand product! Since I purchased ‘London’ my collection of Lip Creams has grown, and I think it will continue to during 2017.

IMG_5569.JPG

This concludes todays makeup post! I can’t wait to try out and use more products this year, and I look forward to seeing what makes it onto the list of ‘Best Products of 2017’.

Thanks for reading,

NYE- Outfit and Makeup.

Fashion, Makeup

Welcome back to my blog! I hope everyone has been enjoying their Christmas holiday, I don’t want it to end! For my post today I thought I would share with you my outfit for tonight (NYE), as well as the makeup I plan on wearing with it! So, whether you are staying in with family or painting the town red, I hope everyone has a great time celebrating, and here’s to a magical 2017! Let’s get onto the post…fullsizerender-7

Outfit– To celebrate NYE I wanted to wear something that was festive, but also something that would be fab for partying! So, with that in mind I chose my long-sleeved, burgundy velvet mini dress from Missguided. It has ruched detailing all the way down the side, and is also slightly off the shoulder, which creates a very flattering neckline(see picture). I thought the style, along with the deep red colour of the dress, made the outfit sexy and sophisticated… perfect for NYE! To accompany the dress, I chose a pair of clear Perspex heels (from Ego), as I didn’t want to take attention away from the stand out piece, and also the chunky heel means that I can party all night into 2017! As for accessories, again to keep it simple,  I picked out my diamante choker from Primark. I think the necklace definitely adds glam to the outfit. Overall I am happy with my NYE look and I can’t wait to wear it out tonight!

Makeup– For my makeup I decided upon a full glam look; I knew I wanted to include sparkles and glitter… If you can’t on New Years, when can you?! I created a silver and burgundy half cut crease using some of my new products (check out my last post for more info!); it ended up matching the colour of my dress perfectly! Details on the products I used will be below as always. I hope you like the makeup look I created and that it might inspire you!
